I bought the original game of cod uo.
I filled in the cd key and get the message: awaiting cd key authorization (in yellow).
I dont have the original cod game, but you also dont need that to let uo work properly.
I reinstalled both cod and uo 3 times, filled in both cd keys again.... etc.
My cd key is filled in correct in the registry file of cod.
I tried the key at a friends house, and it did work, so there's nothing wrong with the key.
I also shut off my firewalls and tried to connect to a legal server, no luck tho.
I can connect to cracked/illegal servers.
I don't have a router in my modem, and i don't have ip blockers installed.
Please help, someone!

pred i just got my legit key all i did was enter the key in multiplyer options and i told lemm to send me his CODMP.EXE & CODUOMP.EXE and it works fine.
do the same thing as lemm it will fix problem... u just need original .exe files

If that still doesn't work, I agree with chief. Take everything of importance off your hard drive. Burn it to disk. And do a fresh install of windows. Any time something gives you that much of a headache. It's a good way to just deal with it so you don;t have to sweat it anymore. I like to do a fresh install every so often anyways. It's definitely worth it. Legit tournaments are a blast.

I reinstalled cod uo with my original disk, so that could not be the problem.
I guess I need to format.

Here is a screenshot of my registry..
Do you have the same directions, etc. in your registry??
And don't try to use my cod key, because it's a cracked one..

No, that's not the problem
I always had patch 1.5 of cod installed and had the awaiting cd key auth. problem.
It's version 1.4 because I just reinstalled cod and uo (again)
I run 1.5 and 1.51 now and replaced codmp.exe and coduomp.exe and still have the problem.

I also have the pb error: corrupted file/memory at some servers with pb enabled.
This has to do with my updated ram memory,( now 512)
